the failure from installing the insight

Dear sir:

I have just downloaded the insight-19991222_tar.bz2. After unziping it,
I tried to install it according to the readme. Because our system could
not recognize the configure automatically, so I run sh on it. But there
is always the following errors:

E:\insight-19991222>sh configure sun4                    #
dirname: not found                                                    #
cd: HOME not set                                                     #
*** cannot find config.sub.                                        #
##########################################

Would you like to give me some advices please?
By the way, the OS I used is the ATI Nucleus. And the target CPU is mips
R3k, the host is PC. The target is connected the host by ISA mode. So if
I want to use the insight debugging our embeded software, need I still
note what special configure when I install the insight?
