Insight Won't Run

Hello,

I tried installing insight from the file "insight-4.95.2.tar.bz2" on a
i686 machine running Redhat 7.0.  From the directory "insight-5.0"
that was created by "tar -xf" I performed the following:

./configure
make
make install

When gdb is executed, it does not bring up the GUI even when
I use the -w switch.  I checked the version of GDB and it looks
correct though it  says it is configured as "i386".  When I ran
"configure" I  saw that the program detected an "i686" machine.

Any idea what went wrong or is there any way to tell why insight is not working?

Thanks for any guidance you can give me on this matter..... Steve
