Re: insight for mingw

There was one put together specifically for Mingw.

You might want to check out http://www.objectcentral.com/index.htm, and click on the "downloads" link.

There is reference to a version of Insight which was specifically modified to be compatible with Mingw needs. I
have used that version, and it works quite well. However, the version I am referencing above is based on Insight 5.0,
and has not been recently updated. Also, it depends on the cygwin.dll.

Insight, the latest (Cygwin) version, will work just as well. Even so, it would be nice (in a minimalist sort of way) to
build a version of Insight which does not require cygwin<x>.dll before it will function.

Beyond what I have noted above, there has been no recent efforts towards building a Mingw dependent
(mingwm10.dll) dependent version of Insight, or any recent efforts towards building an Msys dependent (msys-1.0.dll)
version of Insight.
