- Subject: Problems building insight for arm-elf on Cygwin/WinXP
Hi,
I am having trouble building insight on cygwin for the arm-elf target. The build completes, and produces a working arm-elf-gdb.exe along with several other programs (runtest, run, expect, etc.) but arm-elf-insight.exe doesn't get built.
I am working with new snapshots from the current development head, because I want to use the new frame mechanism for the arm-*-* target. The last time I was able to build a working insight for arm-elf was with the insight+dejagnu-20040210 snapshot.
The build commands I use are:
cd ~/build/insight
~/src/insight/insight+dejagnu-20040315/configure --target=arm-elf
make
make install
I am running an up-to-date version of cygwin on Windows XP Pro.
cygwin 1.5.7-1
gcc 3.3.1-3
tcltk 20030901-1
arm-elf-binutils (local build, binutils-2.14)
I have tried rolling back my cygwin installation to an earlier version, without success:
Is there something wrong with what I'm doing, or is it possible that the arm-elf target isn't fully functional at the moment? Any advice you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
