It sounds like a bad idea to me to retarget from Swing because it
is non-free. I'd imagine that one day a fully free Java will exist, and
when that day comes it will of course have Swing. The only
legitimate reason to retarget would be if this other tool kit
was so amazingly incredibly better than Swing. Even then
I would think twice because if people want to embed JEmacs
inside other programs (which sounds like an incredible wonderful
potential for JEmacs), then it would be a right pain if it wasn't Swing.
Would be nice to see JEmacs as a Swing widget.
