Getting Kawa CVS from behind a firewall

Jim,

I read that you provided Kawa CVS snapshots in the past (now old:
Dec. 2002). That would help me with SSAX.

Or can you highly recommend cvsgrab instead?

I'm one of these "guy behind corporate firewall with only
FTP/HTTP/HTTPStoport433"

I'm behind a firewall during the week these days too. Quite frustrating as Mac OS X's proxy support is not so smooth.

Your question reminded me that I fiddled with this CVSGrab problem a while ago, but I forgot what the result was. After some more frustration, I rediscovered that the problem with it is that it works with ViewCVS but not CVSWeb (which is what sources.redhat.com uses).

I can get around easily with OpenSSH, but there is no anonymous ssh for CVS at sources.redhat.com (nor is there self provisioning like there is for SourceForge or Savannah, AFAIK).

I'm pretty sure there is some way to use a SOCKS proxy with pserver, but I haven't figured it out (yet):

So once again I've had to punt and tar up the latest CVS sources (by using ssh to a machine outside the firewall). Download it from the Files section here:
