Hello,
Has anyone on MIPS or Sparc64 double checked that the problems
with X applications like the tree example
from gtk+ are trully fixed by Franz Sirl's patch? I ask because on
linuxppc while the problem is fixed when
running the Linux 2.2.16 kernel it still remains under the Linux
2.4-test8 kernel. Again this problem manifests
itself when you rebuild XFree86 under glibc 2.1.93 or 2.1.94 and attempt
to run the tree example from gtk+.
Unfortunately Linux 2.4 isn't compatible with Franz's hardware so we
will have a hard time fixing this on
linuxppc. However if MIPS and Sparc64 share the problem as they did the
previous one then perhaps someone
on those platforms can take a stab at fixing this. Thanks in advance for
any help.
Jack
