You obviously didn't :)
 After a not so long CPU burning session I got:

    $ git repack -afd --window=250 --depth=250 --window-memory=700M

Git has a way to make us feel tinyâ

Anyway, for the sake of the cloners, I'd really suggest you to do that on the
redhat repository as well :)
