Re: State of libc-locale?

Not that I've seen. I've been sending locale fixes to libc-locale and monitoring specific bugs and it doesn't appear anyone is approving changes, even for changes where the original locale author has said a particular change is desirable.

During my research I've found numerous complaints about locale support; mostly around lack of response from the maintainers and some complaints about the doc requirements. I think the first is the easiest problem to resolve, it seems to me the second is more controversial.

It's clearly a source of divergence between the official glibc and what we're using in Fedora and ultimately Red Hat Enterprise Linux. We (Fedora/Red Hat hat on) simply can't stand still on fixing bugs because the official maintainers are unresponsive.
