I'd also like to see commits landing on the 2.15 branch sooner rather
than later. Currently Arch Linux has >20 patches for commits I expect
will land on the 2.15.1 release. I tend to make packages based on
snapshots from the release branch, so getting the patches there sooner
will get more testing of the branch.
I have no release schedule to follow, so the timing of the 2.16 release
does not concern me. My only request would be to have more than a day
or two of stabilization before the release... The last couple of
releases had a large number of changes land right as the release was
about to happen.
