Ok, a short question, before I put to much work in it:
With which Linux Kernel should glibc 2.1 work ? Should all things work
with linux 2.0.xx, or could we expect newer kernel versions ?
I ask this, because nscd needs linux 2.1.108pre1. And the old libc/keyserv
interface for secure RPC (needed for NIS+ for example), is very, very slow
and makes a lot of problems.
I have get some new, great hints, which will make it much more faster,
and much more secure. The problem is, the correspdending syscalls are not
implemented in linux 2.0.
Should I put more work in it ?

Linux is like a Vorlon. It is incredibly powerful, gives terse,
cryptic answers and has a lot of things going on in the background.
