Then you certainly did not have to bootstrap recently any new platform to
see what a royal pain it is not to have to possiblity of building a
complete static binary when you need it.
I am sorry, but ststic binaries, no matter how evel those are, are
important.

UNIX is user friendly. It's just selective about who its friends are.
