Re: Creating glibc-devel rpm after modifying glibc src.rpm

Thank you for the pointer but that's not what I was looking for. I know how to build the new source rpm and the binary rpm by doing "rpmbuild -ba my-glibc.spec" as I pointed out in the first e-mail. I would like now to build the development rpm i.e. "devel" rpm with some new specific functinality I added to the glibc source. Does any one else have any other suggestions on this?

Thanks,

Daniel

I did my work on a glibc-2.4.src.rpm and I think I know how to get the rpm with binaries and the rpm with the source code by just doing an "rpmbuild -ba my-glibc.spec". I would also like to build the devel rpm with my changes as well. How do I do that?

My guess is this:
http://kwave.sourceforge.net/doc/en/building_rpm_from_targz.html
as for debian Im thinking maybe alien would work.
