All, All this talk of ABI breakage made me think of another thing that's been in my tree for a while. C++-0x changes the inheritance hierarchy of ios_base::failure to subclass system_error. I'm not sure about the approach I have and I don't have test cases but I wanted to get this on the radar. Ed
