This is the configuration problem for newlib 1.8.0 which I have already sent a patch in for. The error is the setting of target_cflags in newlib/configure.in. It needs to be: target_cflags="${target_cflags} -DHAVE_GETTIMEOFDAY -DMALLOC_PROVIDED -DEXIT_PROVIDED -DMISSING_SYSCALL_NAMES -DSIGNAL_PROVIDED -DREENTRANT_SYSCALLS_PROVIDED" This patch may be necessary for other targets but not for RTEMS specifically. FYI RTEMS does have support for POSIX style signals -- you just have to enable POSIX when you build RTEMS. --joel Joel Sherrill Director of Research & Development joel@OARcorp.com On-Line Applications Research Ask me about RTEMS: a free RTOS Huntsville AL 35805 Support Available (205) 722-9985
