help: big endian newlib

Subject: help: big endian newlib

anyone knows how to build a big endian newlib for
arm-elf? I am using 
newlib-1.10.0
binutils-2.11.2,
gcc-2.95.3 
insight-5.2.1

I suppose gcc option -mbig-endian can compile the code
as big endian format but i guess I also need to
recompile newlib?
