Yup. "sgml2html" is v1.0 stuff which expects LinuxDoc input.
Strange that the install didn't work. "gensgmlenv" is a little script that
should be installed from the sgmltools subpackage (packages/cvs/sgmltools/bin),
if it ain't there just run it (as root) by hand. IIRC, this is the last step
of the whole installation process.
gensgmlenv takes a list of catalog files that are symlinked from
/etc/sgml/catalog.d, and generates /etc/sgml/sgml.env (sh syntax) and
/etc/sgml/sgml.cenv (csh) syntax for setting SGML_CATALOG_FILES from it. You
need to source the appropriate version of this script, best done by sourcing
it from /etc/profile.
