I did not get this point. Please elaborate.

I enabled the Activate markers option in make menuconfig stage and then ran
make.

The modpost.c file is supposed to be present in the
/usr/src/linux-headers-<uname -r>/scripts/mod/ directory. But the
linux-headers folder for this kernel is missing in the /usr/src/ driectory.
I just downloaded the kernel and built it.
