[Bug runtime/13318] New: set a default -DMAXMEMORY for unprivileged builds

http://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=13318

             Bug #: 13318
Summary: set a default -DMAXMEMORY for unprivileged builds
           Product: systemtap
           Version: unspecified
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: runtime
        AssignedTo: systemtap@sourceware.org
        ReportedBy: fche@redhat.com
    Classification: Unclassified

The runtime/translator don't have a default -DMAXMEMORY value. Due to the
un-aggressive way we allocate memory at startup, this is not too bad, but
still an admin may want to set one. The stap-server man page does not
list a capability for the administrator to add some -Dkey=value preprocessor
directives to the child stap run (akin to the -B etc. options).
This would be needed to let the admin override basic translator defaults.
