Well this is probably the wrong forum, but I like the sentiment :).
Still grab the cvs tree, build an rpm and submit it to redhat, build a
.deb and submit it to debian, build a <shrug> and submit it to slackware,
etc, etc, et al.
Yes, I would appreciate it if people would take up that activity. I
can't do it all myself!
It's probably been dropped from the distributions because there isn't a
maintainer for the binary packages.
You're almost certainly right. Usually the binary package maintainers
have to do a tweak or two to get Xconq set up just right for a system.
The other possibility is that with the growing amount of Linux software,
Xconq is getting crowded out by other packages, both games and non-games.
Of course, this is completely unacceptable, and we must work to make sure
that Xconq is recognized as superior to all other Linux games... :-)
