A first version of XconqPPC with support for TCP/IP network games is now
available in the main CVS branch. This is a preliminary version that lacks
a number of features, but it's usable if you want to test it. You have to
compile it with the GUSI libraries. See the GUSI documentation, and some
explanatory comments I put in in kernel/mac.c.
You can connect to a unix host with your mac (use the IP address) and join
a game. Hosting on the mac doesn't work yet, nor can you use the chat
function or rely on automatic synchronization of setup settings. This will
be fixed soon, but until then you will have the use the phone or a chat
program to communicate with other players. Setup syncronization is of
course important to keep the game in sync.
