Exactly - one of the disappointments with tcl/tk is that there hasn't
been much progress on making widgets as customizable as one would want
for a video game.  SDL will entail more hacking though, especially if
the toolkits are not adequate and Xconq has to have its own.

Always glad to get more help!  When you run it, it should be obvious how
much is missing, just pick something that you'd like to implement and
let me know so I work on other bits - since yesterday I brought over
the isometric display and fixed up keyboard handling a bit, those are
the only bits not checked in.

I'm also sketching interface layout ideas.  Since one doesn't get
multiple windows, all the dialogs and panes have to be integrated
into the single screen.
