Re: Stability issues with current Debian

Hi Martin,

Martin Fehlhaber wrote:
I am running a current version of Debian unstable here and just built the CVS
head version of Xconq. Things seemed just fine when I ran from the tcltk
directory and I started a standard game. After a short while though the game
froze fully. I killed it and gave it another few shots. It died on me every
time after like one to three minutes. I was not able to deduce a pattern.

I have not heard any other complaints of this occurring on Debian GNU/Linux or any other Linux distro.

As a side note, 'make install' does work, and so you don't have to run Xconq from its build directories. Perhaps you could try running Xconq from an officially installed location (as installed by 'make install') just to make sure that it is not freezing due to it not being able to find something.... (Not that it should be freezing as a result.)

Also, does your 'Xconq.Warnings' file give any indication of what is wrong?

  Regards,
     Eric
