suspect you are using Microsoft's non-standard XSL implementation. This
doesn't include the last() or position() functions.
You are not alone in being confused, there are about a billion others like
you. If you've been on the list for more than a few days, you'll have seen
people pleading with Microsoft to clarify their documentation.
