RE: [xsl] Question about Michael Kay's book

Sorry for using MS products on the site but I program in Java as well
and have worked in a Solaris environment as well as in the "Microsoft
world".  The majority of XML-related tools that I use are not by
Microsoft.

It has a small one page section dedicated to Cocoon, but has 25 pages on
Xalan and 30 pages on Saxon.  As I said it is comprehensive and
balanced, and the focus is on XSLT.

Please, no offense intended, the siliconpublishing web site is MS and 
ShopFactory is a Windows only product.  I appreciate that those in the
MS 
world are sold on Mike's book.  I'd like to know whether its equally
valuable 
for those of us who live without MS, i.e. no IIS, no IEx, no Windows OS,
etc. 
For example, how well does it cover Cocoon?
