Thanks alot! Well I am using cocoon.... and pls. give your suggesion in that
context... I am new as this would be my first attempt to connect to DB.

Try XML-DB products review from Ronald Bourret (www.rpbourret.com).
My favorite is Oracle XDK with XSQL servlet or XML SQL Utility. Cocoon is
another well-known solution.
