Re: how to omit new lines


<xsl:template match="text">blah:<xsl:value-of select="normalize-space(.)"/>
</xsl:template>

1)  Note that the template has no newline in it between "blah:" and
<xsl:value-of>.
2) Normalize-space got rid the the newline after the <text> element in the
source file.
