you quoted a question by someone else, together with an answer from me
(but didn't attribute either of them: you need to be careful when
quoting more than one person)

Maybe that's what the original poster wanted to do but I don't know how
you glean that from the code posted as it has (as I pointed out in the
reply that you quoted)

 <xsl:template match="/*">

which means that it is only testing the document element.
