Hi Chris,

Thanks for the very detailed solution... I should have made it clearer
that I need to do everything server-side, though. This is for a free
software project, so I can't do anything tied to Msxml. Not only that,
but an abnormal proportion of the users of the current (non-xsl based)
site run with javascript turned off. And other constraints mean I also
can't use java on the server end.... so with all that, I know I'm partly
stuck with reinventing the wheel and doing things in inefficient
ways.. I'm getting there, just very slowly :-)
