A typographer's vocabular. A Google search for "typography orphans"
turns up a reasonable definition at

Just for curiosity: If a "newbie question count" existed on this
list, you'd probably score rather high. Can't you ask your boss
for a training course? No offense meant. You'd probably be more
productive and happier afterwards.
