Re: output content after <br>
Thanks for your help. I tried
<xsl:template match="content">
<xsl:value-of select="node()"/>
<xsl:apply-templates/>
</xsl:template>
But it just seemed to add the first part of the content element twice;
that's because you asked for it twice.
Once with the value-of and once with the apply-templates.
You just want
<xsl:template match="content">
<xsl:apply-templates/>
</xsl:template>
<xsl:template match="break">
<br/>
</xsl:template>
but the first template is equivalent to the default behaviour so you do
not need it at all and so the only thing you need is
<xsl:template match="break">
<br/>
</xsl:template>
