Well if it's of any help (which I suspect it's not), it looks like a
dagger to me, and I'm reading the list using evolution on Linux (and I'd
be surpri^H^H^H^H^H^Himpressed if it knew about proprietary MS
encoding).
The other strange character you posted came out as a square here, by the
way.
