Max,

I like this feature too.  However, the colors definitely have to be
configurable.  I could fix it, but then how do I submit the changes?  A
patch to a patch? :-|  Or do I regenerate your patch from scratch?

P.S. We've been discussing a few things that setup should store
persistently.  How about an Xdefaults-style plain-text
/etc/setup/setup.cfg?
