- Subject: binary rsync with permission setup available
I compiled rsync using a combination of buffered IO patched source from
and a recent patch from Stefan Nehlson (http://firstname.lastname@example.org/msg06792.html)
which allows to "control unix permissions when uploading to a
rsyncd-server by setting rsyncd.conf options". The result of
the compilation can be downloaded from here:
which includes the executable file, as well as the patched source.
It is faster that the latest version of rsync from the official
distribution, although still hangs sometime (as the official version
does for me). With this version, I was able to control cygwin
permissions of the uploaded files on NTFS under win2k.
