I've not actually tried the new setup.exe, but based on the discussion:

How about naming it 'Filter' instead of 'Search'?  To me, 'Filter' implies
exactly the described existing behaviour.  An extra indicator somewhere
indicating "some stuff is suppressed due to the filter" (but more
eloquently) is fine too, but perhaps unnecessary if the connotations of
'Filter' are considered sufficiently strong by others too.
