Files 1 (successes?) and 2 (failures to write cache) attached. Not at
all certain how or whether they illuminate earlier error messages:
texlive-collection-basic.sh exit code 146
texlive-collection-fontsextra.sh exit code 146
texlive-collection-fontsrecommended.sh exit code 146
texlive-collection-latexextra.sh exit code 146
texlive-collection-pictures.sh exit code 146
texlive-collection-science.sh exit code 146
Those postinstall scripts run fc-cache, which fails. So setup.exe
reports the failures.
By the way: last 4 lines of 1 are slightly odd:
/cygdrive/c/Windows/Fonts: skipping, no such directory
/cygdrive/c/WINNT/Fonts: skipping, no such directory
/var/cache/fontconfig: cleaning cache directory
There's nothing odd about the third line. I don't know about the first two.
fc-cache: failed
So someone who knows more about fontconfig than I do will have to help
you figure out why fc-cache is failing. You might be better off
starting a new thread for this, since it doesn't appear to be a texlive
problem. And don't forget to attach cygcheck output.
As I am running XP, I have C:\WINDOWS\Fonts (not C:\Windows\Fonts)
I do not have C:\WINNT at all. Windows 7?
Sorry about all this. It is becoming a bit drawn out. Thanks for your help.
No problem.
