Thanks! I ended up checking in the following patch:

2007-11-05  Joel Brobecker  <brobecker@adacore.com>

        * buildsym.c (finish_block): Remove "#if 1"/"#endif" brackets.
        (make_blockvector): Likewise. Remove FIXME comment.

Tested on x86-linux.
