When this file checks for valid linux kernel headers is reads the version.h
file. It's just that a clean kernel don't have this file. The error looks just
like you have a to old kernel but the real error is that the kernel is
unconfigured. Maybe someone can add a notice in the error message that make
configure of some sort has to be done on the kernel source.
