New package: d-1.2.0-1

The package 'd' is now available with the Cygwin distribution.

'd' is an alternative to 'ls', which shows colorized, verbose file information by default. There are several differences between 'd' and 'ls', including:

 * fully customizable through d.conf file (see /usr/share/doc/d-1.2.0/d.conf.example for instructions)
 * option to list directories first (ON by default)
 * line space optimization
 * summary line listing number of files and total size
 * colorization ON by default

'd' may not respect your time zone settings, instead showing timestamps in GMT. This is a problem with the upstream code, and I've been working with the author to fix this. I hope that there will be a new version containing a fix to this very soon.

Questions on d, as always, should be posted to the cygwin mailing list, preferably with some mention of 'd' in the header. Enjoy!

To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on
the web page. This downloads setup.exe to your
system. Save it and run setup, answer the questions and pick up
'd' from the 'Utils' category. This package includes the executable and all documentation.

Note that downloads from (aka aren't
allowed due to bandwidth limitations. This means that you will need
to find a mirror which has this update.

These mirrors already got the package, the others will probably have
the latest version of this package fairly soon:
