Libarchive is a programming library that can create and read several
different streaming archive formats, including most popular tar
variants and several cpio formats. It can also write shar archives and
read ISO9660 CDROM images. The bsdtar program is an implementation of
tar(1) that is built on top of libarchive.

Routine update to latest official release.

[[ compiled using gcc-4.3.4-3 ]]

CHANGES (since 2.7.1-10)
o Updated to latest official release
o Now depends on libxml2 (for xar support)
o Recompile using gcc-4.3.4, on officially released cygwin-1.7
o NOTE: due to a cygwin bug, bsdtar may segfault on cygwin-1.7.1 thru
cygwin-1.7.4. The cygwin team specifically requested that a
workaround for this issue NOT be added to bsdtar itself, so please
  update to cygwin-1.7.5 or newer.
o Relevant upstream changes (2.7.1--2.8.3):
+ Fix NULL deference for short self-extracting zip archives.
+ Don't dereference symlinks on Linux when reading ACLs.
+ Better detection of SHA2 support for old OpenSSL versions.
+ Fix parsing of input files for bsdtar -T.
+ Do not leak setup_xattr into the global namespace.
+ Fix build when an older libarchive is already installed
+ Use O_BINARY opening files in bsdtar
  + Include missing archive_crc32.h
  + Correctly include iconv.h required by libxml2.
+ Fix error handling for 'echo nonexistent | cpio -o'
+ Don't use futimes() on Cygwin
+ Fix memory leaks in libarchive tests
+ Fix memory leak when filter startup fails
