Sure.  All of the configuring, building and packaging can be handled
by other scripts than mknetrel-core.  I was just hoping that we could
reduce duplication of effort.

A good half-way alternative that I would like to suggest, is to
prepare domkdist () for subpackaging, just like I did; but move the
*_name and *_split funtions out to extra/whatever.

Note that Chuck posted a comment about how debian's packaging rules
(a good part of this is splitting packages) is all duplicated; which
would be a thing to avoid.  That's also why I suggested something like
this patch.

What do you think?

Lots of reasons.  It doesn't really hurt, too?  Or am I being too
flexible.  This is a minor point, imo.
