Both dpkg and textutils contain an md5sum.exe, and they are _not_ the same.
(However, they appear to produce the same sums, although dpkg's does not place
the binary mark (*) in the output.)

The version from textutils provides more useful help output, and supports the
standard long options, so unless there are other factors, it seems preferable.
