What, like the inability to delete and then replace open files? Or
perhaps text vs binary issues? Or that .dll's have to be in the windows
search path to be found?

Implementation details are very important. I'm not suggesting any
package maintainer needs to know the internal of setup. I have suggested
that what does and how it changes should be at least minimally tracked
by maintainers.

Anyhoo, as there is obviously disagreement here, and I cannot be
bothered , this is my last email on the topic.
