[Hello?  What's with the new subscriber-only rule?]

GeoTIFF represents an effort by over 160 different remote sensing, GIS, 
cartographic, and surveying related companies and organizations to 
establish a TIFF based interchange format for georeferenced raster 
imagery.  All code within libgeotiff is either public domain, or 
licensed under X style terms.

The package consists of 3+1 separate cygwin packages:

The main utilities and cartographic transformation data

Note that the DLL package is versioned, but the development package is 
not.  This is because I believe that it would be highly unusual for 
someone to want to *develop* against an older version while having the 
newer version also installed (unlike libpng).

libgeotiff-1.2.0-1 depends on proj-4.4.6-1, as well as tiff-3.6.0-1.
