I'm wondering if the following directives from your configure line

--with-x --with-modules \
--with-gs-font-dir=/usr/share/ghostscript/fonts \
--with-fontpath=/usr/share/fonts

are a copy/paste action from some other package you ported.
At least they are no harm.
