ITP: octave-forge-2005.06.13

All,

I am putting together octave-forge as a companion package for octave, which
will require octave.  Comments requested.

This companion package will have to be updated whenever octave is, as it uses
the octave abi, which is not stable.  octave-forge is in Debian, which also has
a separate octave-ci package.  I am combining the packages in this proposal.

The octave-forge project contains over 500 contributed functions for
GNU Octave which are not in the main distribution. These functions are
grouped according to the following subdirectories: audio, comm, control,
general, geometry, ident, image, io, linear-algebra, miscellaneous, optim,
path, plot, set, signal, sparse, specfun, special-matrix, splines,
statistics, strings, struct, symbolic, time. The Cygwin distribution of
octave-forge also incorporates m-files from the octave-ci collection at
ftp://ftp.ci.tuwien.ac.at/pub/octave/octave-ci.tar.gz"
