In fact there's only one README file.  It describes all four packages, and 
is placed separately into each package.  I could symlink some of them in 
order to make that clearer (and save a few bytes)-- for example, linking 
the ploticus and libploticus READMEs to the one in ploticus-common, since 
they both depend on it.  Easy to do, if you think that's better.
