I'm a bit reluctant with respect to gentoo. It's philosophy isn't a
stable release in the first place, but to have the latest and greatest
of everything available(*), if I get their philosophy right.
Using "stable" Linux distros as an indicator, whether a package needs a
vote or not, is a sort of reality check. Packages not in a "stable"
distro are likely not used very often, not as well tested, etc. Gentoo
is not a very well indicator here.
(*) I don't mean to imply that gentoo isn't stable. No offense meant.
