setup.exe: lost commits?

I noticed these two fixes in the setup.exe ChangeLog...

        * Makefile.in: Output the name of the generated src target.

but...Makefile.in was removed back in 2003: 'cvs log Makefile.in' ---

        * aclocal.m4: Remove.
        * Makefile.in: Remove.

Can you replicate your fixes in Makefile.am, or am I missing something?
