just to be clear: cmake is a tool to build some of my packages,
specifically lapack that is a prerequisite for most of the others

my intention was to build it for myself using Bill's source package;
it does not work as I highlighted to Bill

Yaakov's cygport version of cmake just does not suffer this problem,
so he just shared the build.
